blazinlow Posted April 24, 2005 Report Share Posted April 24, 2005 having prob with mid range badddddd!just bought 28mm pwk's from a buddy dont know what jettin is in the carb runs nice on top end and the plug is burning great. but mid range sucks i checked the needle and its all the way at the top of the clips at the leanest position ive tried moving it down and my bike runs even more like sh@!.could it be a possibility that the carbs are jetted too high. and my plug still be buring good but make my mid rpm suck. didnt have the problem till i put the carbs on but at full throttle this thing screams but sucks in the woods. could anyone give me a starting point on the jettin i got 28 mm,reeds,spacers,fmf pipes,k&n air filter with holes cut in my air box. i live and ride in deleware and use 98 oct gas thanks for the help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wesw Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 its kinda hard to help someone out when they dont tell what their exact setup up is tell us your pilot size, what needle your running the letters,cause there are a 100 different needle you can run, you told us the 1st clip, and your main. by running it in the 1st clip you are trying to lean it down for some reason, huge pilot or something. info is needed for more help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
blazinlow Posted April 26, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2005 i agree i havnt opened the carbs up just tried to adjust the needle bought the carbs from a buddie that hasnt had them long a few weeks on his shee then went alcohol carbs i was hopein that they had the jets that they come with when they are shipped but as my shee is runnin i doubt it!!!! what would be a good guess on the pilot and main on bike i got fmf pipes,k&n air filter,reeds,reed spacers,boost bottle and 28mm pwk's and i live in deleware and its about 70 degrees right now but should be well in the 90's soon.
