bansheefreak
t5's are better if you have porting.. if you have a stock motor they say t6's are better... but for 100bucks cheaper you can't go wrong with t5's

odaen
if you have the slightest inkling of a thought about porting or other internal mods, save yourself some $$ and buy some CPI's or even those Rocket Thingies, they seem to be popular here
jjfizzle51
ya or just buy the t-5s ive raced people with the t-6s stock to stock and i blew them away by like 2 bikes but what ever

race-a-holic
I have T-6 and I love them....great pipe...I also just recently advanced my timing by +4 and bike rips...And I am going to port the motor soon and keep my T-6 and run them on the ported motor....I will update when it happens...D 359622[/snapback] I've tried both the T-5 and the T-6.Definitely get the T-5.They pull better on top end.Don't believe the magazine articles that say how much better the T-6 is.It's not true. The T-5 is a great pipe for both stock and mildly ported cylinders. thethrillofspeed
I have ran both T5's and T6's on my Banshee. The T5's hit harder on the top, the T6's have a lot more mid range and similar power up top. My banshee is not ported. One thing I really like about the T6's is the mounting is a huge improvement over the T5's. I called Toomey about the T6's and ported motors, he said they don't work well with ported motors. So, when my motor goes I guess my T6's will also go away because I'm getting the Cheeta Cubs. I'm gonna miss the quality of the T6's, they are awesome pipes for stock ports. Donoyfz450
OK,,,,,since I am in the pre-building stage of my first banshee,,I like the sounds of these rockets,,,,would they be good on a stocker. I dont see myself immediatly putting a couple grand into an engine,,,,,this year I want a running chasis then next year go big in the engine department. Keep them in good shape, and you'll get 75-80% of new price for them on ebay if you decide to sell them next year. Once you decide to do some motor work, have the builder recommend a pipe for you. You can look at dyno sheets on how brand X beats brand Y, but the builder will certainly know which pipe will work best for the work he's doing. If losing the 25% means a big deal to you, you cannot go wrong thinking ahead to next year with CPI's. I've never heard a single engine builder say anything bad about their performance, they are highly recommended and for good reason.
Justintoxicated
I like FMF Fattys better than T5's they make more power throughout the power band except the very top where the T5's make 2 HP more. they also tend to work better than T5's with porting from what I have sceen in Dynos. I do liek the Toomy silencers better though. And no1 mentioned Shearer Pipes either my 2 fav's not mentioned I would take Shearer anyday over CPI or ummm even rockets ....Shearers are great performing pipe although they don't look as good to me as CPI or rockets they have awesome performance especialy witha heavily ported Banshee (might not be so great stock, but neither will CPI's or Rockets). I'm trying to afford a set right now. Edited May 4, 2005 by Justintoxicated
