dark_one Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 okay ive searched and searched but cant find any info.. im going to be graduating in june... and for my present im gonna ask for a frame and some parts to get me started so this will be a full build from the ground up, and i have no idea what i need to buy. where should i start? is there any site that can help me with the build or have a parts list i can look at.... i wont be working to blind on this snice my brother has a blaster... but i want to get a banshee.. and i need some help... thanx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bigboybanshee Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 My best suggestion is to find a solid rolling chassis, that way you'll have most of the essential nuts and bolts you need to get it moving. That way it would be easy to tear down and get the frame PC'd or painted and clean up whatever needs it. 87sheerips Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 ok the list is neverending, start with this shit--- frame a-arms(upper and lower), tie rods, front hubs, brakes(lever, lines, calipers), wheels, tires, shocks handlebars, clutch perch and cables,steering stem, radiator, gas tank, motor, exahust, foot pegs, rear brake resovoir, pedal,caliper,rotor,all brake lines, rear shock sprockets, sprocket hub, chain slider, swingarm,carrier, rear axle +hubs coolant bottle, grab bar man i dont know if yur lookin for a detailed list or what, this is whats in the top of my head. hope it helps gettin u started. Unless money is no object and you can afford to piece it together w/ all the best aftermarket parts, I would look for one complete or w/ blown motor that needs some work and tear it down. Then you can evaluate what you would like to scrap, and what you would like to keep. People don't just part out perfectly good running machines on E-bay for nothing. My 2 cents. It's going to be very very expensive to build one from the ground up. 355151[/snapback] i agree. theres a ton of nuts and bolts and little shit that youll have to get that will turn into a headache. i would really get a good rolling chassis and go from there. not to mention its gonna cost you an arm and a leg to do it and waiting for all your parts will suck..
