I'm gonna go with Led on the air filter.

But when I got mine I was told "buy some new handle bars and a new axle cause they will be the first things you bend."

 Dam guy was right.

Welcome to the HQ :headbang:

Air filter, Pipes, Timing advance. Hell of a difference from a stock Shee. Then when that gets old, which it will, goto the head/porting/tires/dress up. A modding a shee is like a drug, it'll never be enough.

suspension seems to never get the action that it deserves.....axle, a-arms, and shocks....great investment. Banshees are fast, but if you can not go fast in the rough stuff then it does not matter how fast of a motor you have....An aftermarket air cleaner should be #1 to save the motor...after that it is..........????? Just my 2$ D ;)

Smart thinking Ellison.

And going by your signature, it looks like that's the way you've done it. Now you've got a chassis to handle the power of engine mods when required.

Welcome to the BHQ, Sikwidit'. ... What make of airfilter is it? Whatever, get yourself a 'Recharger Kit' (cleaning kit). Unless the filter is fairly new, you'll be surprised how much dirt you'll remove.

Also, hows your gearing? Is it original, ie. 14 teeth on the front sprocket and 41 on the rear. And what height are your rear tyres? Woops ... you guys call them 'tires', :D .

BTW, Guys: Has the Banshee allways had 14/41 as standard or was it ever different? :shrugani:

Rare.

well what you need to go with first is a set of gold powerbands for your stock pipes. you can get them at mike's cycle world. 2nd you'll need some muffler bearings cause there always going out ( i'm on my 4th set) and finally you'll need to get you a graphics kit 5 hp right there :):yank:

id have to say a high, performance sticker then a boost bottle. :flush:

Seriously, don't even ride it with the stock air filter! Easiest to jet when you do pipes ands filter at the same time.

oh yea I have some pipes I want to sell also, they are plated Fatty's very good pipe for a stock or modded shee, I just have a little too much flow for them at this point. I need to switch to a pipe that is not as good on a stock banshee that can keep up with the flow. Shoot me an offer if ya want. If not they are going to end up o ebay, and judging by the condition of most of the pipes on there they should have no problem selling :)

the guys above are right, suspension before motor mod (exception of pipes and filter and maybe a coolhead) Cause hell stock pipes are just plain horrible! I went the other route, and got porting first, but hey I needed a new topened anyways, I didn't get my rear suspension untill it blew out also ;) But now I want some good front suspension so I don't killmyself jumping.
