njbanshee
I have 33mm carbs on my banshee and just bought the boss racing intakes. It was a tight fit before the new intakes but now there is no way to get my air box on. Does anyone have any good ideas about what to do? The air box sitts about an inch and a half back. fixitrod
Or time to start getting creative. You can bend the two tabs on the back of the airbox back some. You can shorten the boots that go to the airbox by cutting them some. Time to get creative..lol
Big Blue
skip all the hassle and get clampons, even after you get everything spaced right, stuff still wont line up right. Edited April 11, 2005 by Big Blue
locogato11283
i would prolly just go with clampons. or you can do this to your existing airbox. basically just some cutting and a couple 2.5" hose dealies. this works pretty well as me and my bro both have it done. this is with 35mm pwk and boss intake. MonkeyBoy
You can trim some of the mount off of the airbox, and shorten the boots by trimming them. You can also buy boots from UPP. Theya re not only set up for larger carbs, but shorter as well.
njbanshee
Thanks for the good ideas, is it a bad idea not to have an air box if i have the pro design filter? I'm sure i can make it work some how.
