wesw Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 i made one from some hose, a brass T, and a meat thermometer from walmart. there is a site that has directions. thebansheezone.com maybe dont remember mounted by the fuel tank on top where you can see it ass you ride. some use the heatseeker.com which is fine but you really cant see it while riding its off to the side of the tank. later Quote
Brian G Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 JL ATV, you have to drill a hole in your plastic but man does it work nice and it is visable while you are riding. www.jlatv.com Quote
1800bigk Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 if you have $150 burning a hole in your pocket get this, http://www.thefirestore.com/store/category.cfm?cID=1599 I got mine from work and I love it. It has a laser pointer and you can see which cylinder is running hotter than the other. Plus you can see how hot your pipes get. Quote

Nighty Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Big Mike NY do you happen to know the inside diameter for the hoses? my inline water cooler has a diameter of 0.71 inch and that looks too small. i expect the coolant hoses to be wider. This is my temp/rmp gauge: showing RPM here Showing temp in celcuis here, When road racing the temp never comes above 135F i had to put the shee indoors and rev it up for 5 minutes to get near 180F a small spin around the farm and temps where down to 130F again On hot summer days it boiled over once in a while, usually if i was stuck in the mud or stuck on a steep hill. I can keep a close eye on the temp now and the gauge will blink red when temps come above 170F Or whenever i rev above 10K rpm .. i can use it as a shift blinker for n00bs Quote
