justinklumb29
Iam tearing my motor down and was wondering if there is any way to remove the clutch basket without the special tool THanks Justin
DIRTBIKEZ
You can rivit a steel and friction plate together then jam a rag between the basket and the tranny input gears.
BdBanshee
Just use the correct socket and an air or electric impact, the nut spins right off.

fixitrod
Both work. Depends if you have an impact or not. You can also weld some tabs on a piece of steel (a long handle) that slide into the grooves of the inner hub to hold it in place.
PUSH THE THROTTLE
Or you could use a clutch holder too.
sheefreak
Just use the correct socket and an air or electric impact, the nut spins right off. 351555[/snapback] Works everytime, just tough when it comes time to torque it back down, might want to go w/fixit's idea for this reason. I think I had to use two steel when I use to do it that way though. The started to twist and want to come out. I suppose it would work with one steel and one fiber screwed together if you can keep it straight in there.
