Big Problem?

Recommended Posts

When i was changing my oil i noticed metal flakes or chips draining out with the oil. I checked my service manual for the symptom and it said "something is drastically wrong internally and the engine will have to be disassembled for inspection and repair". Now up to this point everything is fine. Its running fine and cant detect any strange noises. So:

Is it a serious problem?

And

What might be the problem?

thx

If it's not aluminum, then it's your gears. When you shift hard and slam it in gear, you can chip them. Perhaps that's where the metal's comin from.
