AS the title states i recently purchased a set of +2+1 arms, and a +2 swingarm from Gary at quick sand. I am more than pleased with them... so here goes.

The research - I knew what i needed, and didnt have a lot of cash to spend. Thats where all the people here came in handy. I got several recomendations for this company.

Ordering - Gary is an outstanding guy to do buisness with. I didnt have the cash for both at the time, my plan was to order a arms, then 2 weeks later call again and order the swingarm. That didnt happen. Towards the end of our conversation i had told Gary that i would be calling him back to order a swingarm in a week or two. He said that wasnt nessesary, he charged me for the a arms, and said he would go ahead and build the swingarm, and I could call him when i was ready to pay for it. It takes a noble, and trustworthy person to do that, becasue he had never meet or talked to me before, therfore not knowing if i was an honest individual or not, and i could have very easily screwed him on that deal. For this, Sir I toast to you

The wait - Gary told me 4-6 weeks. Seeing that he builds these by hand per order i think that is a reasonable time. I tell ya, that was a long 4-6 weeks, seemed like 6 months. It ended up taking 7... not bad.

The good guy he is - I had called him on a Friday and requested that he 3 day air them on monday since i had a ride I had commited to the following weekend. Well... he didnt get them 3 dayed on monday, however On Wednesday he overnighted them on his own dime to ensure that i didnt have to cancel my reservations, and that i would make the ride. :notworthy:

Instalation / finished goods - The work looked great. The welds on his parts were excelent, the Black powdercaot finish looked equally as good. The fitment of the A arms was great,it was a bit of a tight fit to get the uppers in, just needed a little elbow grease. May have been a lot easier if i had a 2nd hand in the shop. The swingarm just looks strong, only problem i had with it was where the dog bone mounts to it. I had to use a couple of large washers on the outside of the mountung tabs. There was about 1/8"-3/16" gap that needed to be fiilled. The I.D was right on, but when i put the bolt through it was a bit long. The washers fixed that right up.

Final outcome - They fit well, ride even better, not to mention all the compliments i get on them, especially the swingarm. I would certainly do buisness with him again, and would reccomend it to others

I ordered Elka's also, but with piggybacks.I threw a few more bucks and replaced the rear shock also... this is one hell of an investment and took me 3 years to do so.You always hear you can have all the power in the world, but if you can't get it to the ground why have it!
