aimo
89' Banshee bore .03, piped boysen reeds prolite pistons Just rebuilt and am not getting the throttle response that I want. It's almost like the power band is kicking in too late. I think this is because of the needle jet. Do I go down with the clip or up with the clip. The mainjet is a 180 and I live in Michigan. Anyone please help.
FIRST BANSHEE
what type of carbs do you have??? If there stock, your way to lean.with pipes and reeds you should be around 270-300. If you have a 2-1 trinity intake with a 35, your probably still a litte lean. what pipes are you running? they have a huge roll in where your powerband is. dajogejr
Live in MI myself, Metro-Detroit area. Stock carbs, K & N clamp ons (Pods), Boyesen Reeds and Toomey T5s. I can't promise you my jetting is not 100% perfect...but, it's darn close. VERY close. I run 310 Main, 27.5 pilots. Toomey/Dynojet jet kit needles in the 4th clip (these needles have 6 grooves instead of the stock 5 groove needles) Air screws have varied lately...you know it was 40s two weeks ago...today, upper 60s. That's MI for you. I've been going from 1.5 to 2.25 turns out on my air screws. Also...make sure your floats are at 21mm...
