bkabina
I'm sure I'll get bashed for saying this but thats the way it is around here I guess. All of these builders are great at what they do.Alot of people cut on Jims motors because they either had one or know someone that had one and couldnt get it to run the way it was supposed to.After a while they just give up and say his work is not what it is said to be.I had some trouble jetting my at first too,but I got mine straightend out.I now for a fact that others that give up on his motors could have tuned it to run the way it was supposed to if they would have stuck with it and listened to others that had the same problems and fixed it.But hey some people are just too damn stuborn.( no offense to anybody )One of the problems is Jim has just jumped into the game compared to the other mentioned builders. So most people don't know what he has to offer, thats why they are so quick to suggest a Big Name Builder.I wouldnt say Jims motors will only beat your buddies either.I drag raced my 12 port 4mill all last year and I beat alot of Rudy Kurtz drag motors, and a few 7mill motors.Anyway bash me if you wish I'm sure someone will have something to say. Thats all I have to say about that. Edited April 5, 2005 by bkabina
SANDSTAR
Get a sport port template for $90 and do it yourself. Some of these shops are turning out the port jobs by the boatload. I've never seen any consistancy with Trinity or any other big shop. 2 of my buddys sent their jugs to Trinity at the same time. They ordered the stage 3. Not only did the two port jobs look completely different/ inconsistant, I smoked the both of them time after time. I have 3 seasons on my motor to boot. One of the trinity jugs didn't even have the intake edges rounded over. These shops make it seem impossible to port your own motor. But then again, they want your money. Lets see that 70+ dyno on a stock stroke. I call BS.

justinklumb29
i know that those arent the only two guys, however i have narrrowed it down to them two as i have heard great things about both of them(not saying they are the only great ones). Eric is also very affordable and i have not heard one bad thing about him. I have checked out some of the other websites, partiot, twister and some other ones and none of them really interested me that much. Thanks for all the replies and i will let you know who i choose when i choose Justin
bansheefreestyler
what type of performance will porting add to a guys motor? would it be worth it for me to get it done?
1800bigk
what type of performance will porting add to a guys motor? would it be worth it for me to get it done? 349842 yes porting is worth it, a stock banshee has around 36 whp's a mild port job will get you into the 50's easy and if you get the same port job that H250RHATER has from passion racing you can get 72hp on stock stroke, just by bolting on some ported cylinders with a so called hot mx port

ROCKETMAN29
I tuned that motor in less than 2 hours with a lunch break, and that mother is absoutely smooth, predictable and will rip your arms off..Jim 349616 reminds me of this time a guy called me and was so pissed @ me because my pipes leaked from the silencers and @ the cylinders, but he didnt know you needed o-rings, jetting can be tricky if your not patient, i said f-it and bought some egts
