SouperSport
ADDED POLL....Click Here OK, I think I'm ready for my first performance mod. From what I hear, Pipes are the best single mod you can do to increase performance. The only question is which ones....? Right now my Banshee is Completely STOCK!! I do mostly Desert/Trail riding with some occasional Dunes/hill climbs (but not neccesarily drags). Even on trails I like "sliding" around the corners so I keep the RPM's in the mid to upper range... Then almost WFO whenever possible. So far the "best" recommendation I've gotten is a set of Toomey's... And I like the air filter/jet kit that comes with it, 'cause I know next to NOTHING about jetting anyway. (I'm thinking the 2 into 1 Uni filter kit that comes with it) Any other Pipe, I'll want to upgrade the air filter anyway, and them I'll have to be told what Jets I'm gonna need. (CPI's, Trinity IV's, Whatever) I may add a Dyna Ignition and tires, but that's gonna be it at this point! Oh and I have STOCK porting as well.... I'l need something forestry and sound legal as I'll be hitting the OHVRA's regularly and wanna keep the rangers off my tail! With that Said, what else do you recommend? Bansheeman1121
Sounds like you need a set of toomey t-5s or fmf sst's both great for railing the dunes, go for the t-6s is you plan to keep the motor stock
Toomey Banshee
I have CPI's on my machine and T-5's on the machine I gave my son. Go with the CPI's. Very, very good for a stock motored bike, outstanding for a ported 'shee. Trust me, you'll get yours ported before its all said and done and you will be VERY VERY happy with the CPI's when you do. locogato11283
on my motor ROCKETS had more midrange and topend power than CPI. but thats a 4mm stroker. i think the results would be similar on your bike. i say go for the rockets..you will be very satisfied... Bansheeman1121
Were talkin two diffrent class of pipes, im talkin toomey and fmf which have great performance but theres still a next step up to rockets and cpi, if you take that step up i no theres lots of guys on here to get help with rockets from so thats your best bet if your talkin fmf and toomey go with t-5 or ssts
trail rider
I got bills pipes on mine. People say they're like fmf fatties but I don't know since I've never seen a shee with fatties on it . I love the way my pipes sound too. At idle and when you rev it, it's a real nice sounding ping ping ping ping brinnnnnnngggggg bing bing and sounds killer when your on the pipe. I'm thinking its really a midrange pipe, but it also has nice top end pull (although maybe not as much as other pipes) and decent low end.
