stealth50
i just bought a 95 banshee blown up. one piston skirt was broken.during the rebuild I found a stripped water impellar gear and replaced that. when I fired the bike up and rode it ,it seemed to heat up very fast and run hotter than my other banshee. I felt the radiator all over and there were no cold spots. (poss clog) it did not boil over or anything it just seems hot. should I just ride it and see if it overheats or what? finally found a temp gauge like ten minutes after I rode it and the water was only at 150 but that was after 10 min of sitting in 40 degree weather. any suggestions?? thanks! banshdog
Not sure what temp banshees usually run at, maybe someone could get back to you with that info. As for suggestions.... 1. Make sure impeller is installed correctly, and working. 2. Possibly install some inline coolers. 3. Noss head. 4. Use Engine Ice or some other type of coolant. fixitrod
I'd get a temp guage before I got to far into it. Maybe it's just jetted leaner and runner more up to temp than your other banshee.
