X5GEE
How many of you guys had your engine rebuilt? I've had my Banshee since september, and have approximately ridden it 34 times in 6 months. I dont think the previous owner had his rebuilt before I purchased it. Well a few days ago my shee died on me. I was dreading this day since I got it. No compression on one cylinder and a little in the other. I thought maybe water got into the carbs .. but no. The dealership is quoting me $1,200 on a rebuild I know it sucks .. but I dont have the time, knowledge or patience to fix it myself. I guess it pays to play. I just dont want this to happend anytime soon. So thats why I'm posting this message to get some imput back. Thanks for reading ...
fixitrod
Holy crap $1200. That's insane. If it's just that top end you could do it for way way less. It's not very hard. Where are you located, maybe someone can help you out.

Ducman
I'd cancel that work order and get someone like NYUK to do it if you absolutely cant do it yourself. Unless you trashed your crank and cylinders beyond repair $1200 is insane. You could probably get someone from here to do it for $500 total, they'd do it better than the stealer, and they'd be happy to make some pocket change.
