leadsled
i run 93 octane in my shee at the moment with a cool head, bills pipes, and a K&n. i was wondering if changeing dome size the same as shaveing the head on a stock shee head i mean does it add compression and what not so you have to run race gas i dont know what size my domes are in my head right now and im at sea lvl i was thinkin about changeing them out to run race gas if it was a good performance adder.but im still new to most of this stuff so any advice id appreciate.thanks

I think race gas is required on anything over 160 lbs of cranking pressure.
njbanshee
I think with the coolhead you are supposed to run race gas with domes 19cc and under. Double check on that though. I have 17cc domes and run race gas.
dlnoss
At sea level, you need to run more octane than pump gas probably with domes smaller than 21cc. You will increase compression with smaller domes.

In the UK, (which is mostly ridden at below 1000ft), where do we stand on limits of dome size/ cranking pressure with our pump gas which has an Octane level of 97 (Unleaded)? Rare. If your octane numbers correspond to those in the U.S. you should be able to run 20cc domes with no problem.
