Iam in the market for some new arms, but don't have much $$$ to spend. American Star Racing and FullFlight are both in my price range, but nobody has much good to say about FF's, so I will pass on them. Anyone tried ASR's? I've heard that they(ASR) used to go by another name and they were shit, can anyone verify this? It's either these or wait for a good deal on some used better name brand, but they got a +3+1 setup for $400, that's mighty hard to pass up! Give me some feedback guys, I don't want to buy junk, but I don't want to pass on them cause of a rumor either.

Yeah, I only got that one reply saying they were junk, but not any proof. I figured I'd try posting here to get more opinions before giving up on them. :shrugani:

I've had mine on for two years now. They are ok but not great. The heims that come with these are junk.I had lot of slop in them after only a few rides. If one of the heims breaks it wound hurt bad!I think I payed around $450 for them.So after buying top quality heims for $250,the bargain was not such a bargin.

Go with a high quality set up & you will be better off.Wish I had.

I posted on that other topic regarding the ASR's saying they were great. Well this weekend i went to Glamis and flew off a razorback about 10 feet and landed on the front right corner hard enough to go end over end once. The heims held up better than i did. Only bent the post that the heim seats in and that is it. Luckly i had spare heims that i ordered from the ASR website. I was back out at it again later that afternoon after replacing a corner.

Everyone dogs these things and yet mine survived another crash and burn. I dont get it, everyone hates them and Im not sure why. They surprise me (for the price) more and more everytime i ride. There are better setups out there, but these go good for the price......bottom line......theyre better than stock.
