superbanshee03
Hey guys, I have a 03 banshee I want to setup for drag mods in signiture. I have t6's and was wondering what pipe to go to. I thought about cpi or rocket's, been trying to sell t6's so if anyone is interested pm me an offer, What other mods do you think would help me out, I have 33pwk's that I am in the process of installing so carbs are out of the way. Could you think of anything else I could do to help me. Thanks

superbanshee03
Also, can you get your cylinders reported after they have been setup for a certain style of porting? Will a stroker help me that much, you do mean a stroker with stock length rods or do you mean a longer rod like +4 or something? Will I have to have my porting changed with just a stroker or what I have no idea.

racer
im not too firmiliar with dirt drags but here goes: for tires a lot of guys use Pro wedge 2's for groomed tracks. they hook up well, and so do some others that currently slip my mind. by chassis i mean your suspension. asphalt draggers tend to use a rigid frame setup. either through the use of struts in place of shocks, or aftermarket frames with no suspension even in the design. sand on the other hand needs a little shock adsorbtion, so most dudes use a Marvin shaw drag type air shock. and typically yes, your jugs can be ported a lil more to go to a full drag port. also your ported jugs will be useless if you move onto a stroker motor. the extra stroke throws all of the port timings out of whack. later bro, and good lulck to ya. locogato11283
i would go with a 4mm stroker and ROCKETS!! my 4mm stroker made 3 more hp with the rockets than with cpis. contact dlnoss for a really good head and then also figure out what kind of porting you want. if you are going strictly drag id talk to Ohton racing, a & s, k & t or southern style racing. check this site for dyno sheets and pictures of rockets.. superbanshee03
ok guys, let me get this straight ,pro wedge tires, better shocks, maybe lightnen frame, with a +4 stroker crank and more porting. a little confused on the crank, is the +4 stroker a longer rod or stock length or longer (115mm) or (110mm)? sandman121383
if ur full out drag u want out of frame drag pipes. but if it's something uride often all over they would be stickin out kinda far. check into shearer or rocket or maybe even t5's . all great exhaust with a good port. anyone mention passion racing for a port? heard good things bout them in the past. good luck with the build. keep us posted
rideblue_05
If you are going to be doing real serious draggin then get your trannsmission shaved. It is unbelievable how easy it shifts after doing this. You dont have to let off the throttle or touch the clutch.

rideblue_05
Will I still be able to ride normal riding with this? 343355[/snapback] I wouldnt recommend it for just casual trail riding, only drag racing. But if u get a +10 swingarm and out of frame drag pipes u probably wont be riding trails anyway. Just something to think about if you are serious about whippin some ass. superbanshee03
I dont trail ride but do a lot of riding in fields and around woods so I dont want out of frames, I have a KFX 700 for that. Does anyone have or know where I can get some rockets or cpi's cheap or used I have posted in the swap and trade and for sell forum. I have some t6's and some G3 power curve reeds that I might swap for some good pipes. Since everybody says the t6's arent good for porting even though they speed me up about 5 lengths, I want to see what a set of so called good pipes will do. I will be the guinnei pig on this and report my findings. Do you guys think there will be a big difference. sorry so long.
