applpro Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 . works are just an aftermarket brand of stockers. freestyler, you might want to check your facts before spouting off with your supposed words of wisdom. While works shocks aren't the very best out there, they are a pretty big improvementt over stock for the money. I think the stock shocks on a 'shee suck, they are too harsh. I ordered triple rate works with remote rezzies & think they are a BIG improvement over stock! Quote

I was thinking about getting the same kind triple rate with rezzies. I ride a lot of woods and do a fair amount of jumping and whoops. Nothing too crazy but the stockers are a bit harsh. Have you noticed a significant improvement in suspension with the upgrade? I want to figure out if they are worthwhile. Jeff Quote

The're much softer when casual riding-you don't feel every damn bump & track you cross at low speeds & they soak up the landing on big jumps. I'm very happy with them overall. Mine cost $520.00 & took about 30 days to get custom built for my weight. Quote
H250RHATER Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 ok you said stiff suspension. you dont always want stiff suspension. you want to setup your suspension for what your doing your not always going to need it stiff. you want your rebound set to what your doing. a good freestyle shock would be elka or pep not works. works are just an aftermarket brand of stockers. there is no difference in the feel. a-arsm youll prolly want to keep it stock so its easier to whip around in the air. kenda klaws are a good tire like decon said. you can run em normal or reverse em and run the tread backwards. you might want to look into some new handelbars too. hope taht helps man. 343765[/snapback] yea no kidding works shocks aren't as good as elka or pep you've really got to be a fucktard to think works are a aftermarket of stock and it clearly sounds like you've never had works shocks . a-arms- the stock are weak as hell if he's hittin 20ft jumps there would be no way i would have stock arms. and most frestyle bikes have 2-3+1 arms no real FREESTYLER would run stock arms on humungus jumps Quote
Blue Duece Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 i have works shocks on one bike, elka on the other...works are "ajustable stock shocks" any one wanna argue that....... spend 3k on elkas then we will talk........ Quote
