NugShee
nice nice, I like the fact that its not finished but the expensive part is done. Now you can customize it to your taste. Plenty of land now all you need is about 15 dump truck loads of dirt and a backhoe and you have yourself a nice track. Im from the hills so that would be a little to flat for my taste. Also looks like a good spot for huricanes. Good Luck with your new place

Holyman
That sure looks like Dekalb. I thought you worked closer to the City. How is that place gonna work out for your drive to work? How much land did you get in the deal? Looks like you need a neighbor Oh yeah... send me a closeup pic of those railing parts/spindles and can you tell me where they got that stuff? Gargamel
Congrads!! It's the greatest to own and make it what you want. So any plans for a track out back?
blk02banshee
Nugshee, dirt won't be a problem. I drive an 18 wheel dump truck for a living Fireman, I have all the paperwork for the fireplace, so I'll look into it and scan it for you, if there's any info on it. Holyman, It's in DeKalb county, one block north of lasalle county. The drive won't be toooo bad. It's about 40 minutes, although I'm currantly only driving 3 minutes, so it's going to take some getting used to. Once my boss builds the new shop, I'll only have 25-30 minute drive. I'll get a pic of the stairs tomorrow. The guy builds custom stairs for a living. I'm not sure where he got the spidles, but I think Home depot has the same ones for $40/foot. broke
That is without a doubt one of the coolest houses I have seen. Looks very cozy and nothing is overkill. Does the house have heat or is that the main function of the fireplace? I have a friend(older) that built a log cabin up north and just has a huge stone fireplace in the middle of it that is the best heater I've ever seen. Again, very nice. blk02banshee
Broke, it's got a high efficiency furnace, but the fireplace will heat the whole house if I need it to. I'm definately buiding a track
