blk02banshee
Finally closed on my house today . I've been trying to get this house for a couple months, and kept running into problems, so many that I'm not even going to go into all that. It started as a 1 room schoolhouse built in 1903, and was completely remodeled this year. It still needs the finishing touches, but nothing I can't handle. The best part, is that it's on 2 acres and unincorporated, so I won't be hasseled anymore for riding my banshee. Yeah, the loft is all it has for a bedroom right now, but I'm building an addition with 2 rooms and another bathroom.

BenBB
Looks great, somebody did a whole lotta work on it so far and they did it well. Fireplace looks awesome and I'm diggin' the loft, it's got a little deck off the second floor doesn't it? Cool.
blk02banshee
Thanks guys. yeah, there is a little balcony off the back of the loft. holyman, it's on the outside of Leland, which is between DeKalb and Ottawa or between Somanauk and Mendota. The guy who sold it to me said that the farmer that owns the land around it, offered to sell him 3 more acres directly behind it at a damn good price. Maybe I'll get the same offer. STLBILL
Hi guys: Dandy domicile! Although, I too was thinking that doesn't look much like the Chicago area. In the midwest we have remote control mountains. We just choose to keep them in the fully retracted position to save on gas mileage... -Bill Edited March 12, 2005 by STLBILL
