hey guys im 14 yrs old and own a modified 2004 yamaha blaster.

its time for me to pass the blaster onto my little brother and move on to a bigger quad. i love 2 strokes and dont wanna leave them, but it looks like i have no choice. i dont have that much money to spend so i need to know what quad i would be better off with?

1.banshee

2.moded 400ex.

i live in australia and its very hard to even get a 250r...ive never even seen one!

i ride my dads polaris predator and it seems big and heavy and i would have a hard time riding it in the dunes. but i really need to know if a banshee is right for me? is the suspension too hard for a lighter rider like me? if not then i have no choice but to get a 400ex. :(

could i please get real advise not like "honda sucks!'' and "banshees are the best because they are fast and yamaha"

thanks

luke.

You said dunes...that alone would be enough for me to say "Banshee!!", but honestly you probably couldn't go wrong with either one. There's pros and cons either way, like y2kbanshee9187 said ride them both if you can and see what suits you best. Having a Blaster you should know what it takes to keep a 2-stroke alive, and how easy they are to mod, the Honda's a solid machine that will take alot more abuse & neglect, but chances are it'll never give you the adrenaline rush that a Banshee can...

If you can handle the blaster, Go for the banshee. If the blaster still gives you problems get a ETON 90 and leave this site LMAO :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

Just kidding, Banshee all the way!!!

I think you would be very disappointed going from a modded Blaster to a 400EX. My first quad was a blaster, I liked it alot at the time. I went from Blaster to Banshee when I was 15 or 16, I cant remember. I say go for the Banshee. You said you like dunes, and a Banshee is the ultimate duner.

I bought my banshee when I was 13, I could handle it with no problems...if you think you can handle it go ahead and get one. One thing I like about the 400ex is there not as long as the banshee is (turn sharper). Dislikes: honda, grab bar is built into the frame, honda, hard seat, and just plain slow.

Ride both of them if you havent already and see what you think of them. O and welcome to the HQ.

I agree...I have both, like them both. But I'll give you one good guess which quad usually winds up collecting dust in the garage & gets me back & forth to the bathrooms when I'm at the dunes... ;) There's nothing wrong with EX's...as already stated, they're good all around, dependable quads. But there's nothing like the thrill of a banshee in the powerband. :headbang:
