williamjernigan
I know that this is a banshee forum but I figured since you guys are so noligable you should be able to give some tips in drag racing my 87 Tecate 4. I am about to put a SR 330R kit on my tecate. With just the cylinder it should give me 60 rwhp with my ftz drag pipe. But I am going ahead and getting drag porting and having the piston cut to match the transfer ports. I have my tecate lowered low in the front and I am getting a kit to lower the rear 6 inches. I am a good rider although I have never ridden anything with more than 50 hp at the rear wheel. So I just would like some advice on how to drag race such as like how to get a good start and how to set up the swingarm. For instance I have a stock swingarm but am getting a +4 swingarm for it. I know that the shorter the swinger the more it will hook up but it will pop up easier too. So just need I guess tips from pros for my rookie self.
