03350banshee
Out run them. that was what was on my mind the whole time. If i had the sled i would have but the shee has almost bald tires and no studs. i figured i would be a decent citizen and pull over. I could see the cop being mad if we were haulin ass and being stupid. But i think that was auctully the first time the shee has ever been under half throttle. i guess he was one of those specail cops that never was a kid and never had fun. must have went from baby to ass hole. Well i am going down to city hall and try to fight it. Wish me luck ride WOT

RNBRAD
I personally wouldn't run cause I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to track a sled and possibly a banshee straight to your door or the crash site. Some states it's a felony to run. Definitely something you don't want on your record. Even though he seemed like an ass your safety is more important than an impound. Too many effin crazies riding around on slick roads to have any protection on a quad. Some people need to think before they act. I just see too much of the aftermath to think any other way. 03350banshee
GOOD NEWS me and my uncle went down to the police station and asked to speak to the officier that pulled us over. they paged him in. We talked with him for about 20 min. and we got him to drop every thing. only thing we have to pay for is the tow truck $75. I gave him a sob story about how i just bought it and was just test driving it. He said the only reason he did it was because he did not want someone to get hurt. And there we complaints about snowmobiles drag racing up and down the street. So looks like i really lucked out on that one. Man i am so happy. I am picking it up at 3:00. The cop said he knows how tempting it is to take it out. he said he owned a raptor. When he said that i said yeah they are pretty slow. he said have a nice day guys. lol Well cant wait to get it home and go for a rip. lol Thanks Guys for all the support i will be there fighting for one of you guys if you ever get in trouble BANSHEE HQ ROCKS thanks again and remember GO HARD OR GO HOME

williamjernigan
When its a perfect day in july they cant catch me. I would have never stopped. Next time just keep riding and if he chases you then just take off. Make sure that you dont let him follow you to your house though. I made that mistake once with my blaster. I ran from the chief of police and he called backup and by the time I got home I had beat him and his backup but my neighbor works for the rescue squad so she has a scanner and she heard that they were chasing a white 4 wheeler on the road and when she saw me put my stuff in the barn she called the cops. I thought I had them beat so I went driving around and about 45 min later I come by my house and their is 7 cop cars at my house and I'm not exagerating. They had a warrent for my arrest. I went to the police station but he just lectured me and never gave me a ticket and never took my bike though just a warning. I was like 17 at the time. Nightrider
Normally I would pull over immediately and plead with the police, but if theres that much snow on the ground,I would have never looked back.I guarratee if he saw you take off,he wouldn't have bothered. Tryin to run from the cops on dry pavement is stupid, tryin to run from the cops on snow covered roads is natural instinct.Unless of course there on sleds or they have 4wd. I've witnessed many cops lose control and crash tryin to chase sleds or quads on snow covered roads. In the more rural areas, they won't even bother chasing you if you take off,but do a good job of covering your tracks or they will be at your door a few hours later.
