BansheeBoy17
Eat a good breakfast, drink alot of water / gatorade... stay hydrated. Like the previous person said, stretch before the race. Oh yea, and my personal tip : keep your eye on the track, not the person you are about to pass.... you may not clear a jump and case and fall and lose. Theres a right way , http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=JolietMX_goodJumps And theres a wrong way Lmao , you can see me staring at the raptor from the moment I get air off the first double, then i dont take my eyes off him until its too late. http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=JolietMXCrash -Jim #17 www.Jolietmx.com Edited March 4, 2005 by BansheeBoy17
Shaggy
keep a spare chain with you also, never know when one might throw and you don't want to reuse a thrown chain cause a link might get twisted and recheck all your nuts and bolts after practice and moto
islandsurfer
Thanks for all the advice .....Practice is on Saturday and the race is on Sunday, so I am going to get as much seat time as I can to work out any jitters and uncertainties on the jumps and get use to taking the turn faster...I wanna to get the whole power slide thing down... I did that same fukkin' thing in Cedar Rapids, IA last year. But my front end caught. Completely smashed my bumper, and smacked my thighs on my bars....man that hurt. I fucked up a disc in my back or something, I could barely walk for 10 days
islandsurfer
Alright... 4th time ever on a quad in a MX track ever... First moto on a canyon jump I went off the side and got sucked under my left tire, and push the Clutch lever down... But I had to finish for myself... So as I painfully still go around the track while having to reach over the bar to use my clutch, I finished 3rd...2nd moto, I bogged and almost died at the start had a pretty good run and came in second...What a GREAT day.... The track is tight and I need to get use to clutching more... So not only is my whole body sore, I also have gashes in my arm from when I went off the side of the canyon... I lost to a Z400... Oh well I will get him next time...
