RNBRAD Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 I'm thinking about putting some intakes on my banshee, what ones are the best? 332504 I think they are all pretty good. Yet to hear of one that was just crap. I use the pro-design unit, a little pricey but well made. Quote
wesw Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 boss racing got if from passionre nice piece, allows bigger carb to not hit the clutch arm also Quote
Ducman Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 I have the prodesign as well, its a nice piece, but I think the BOSS may be better price vs quality. Trinity makes some nice and simple intakes for duel carbs you can find on e-bay for cheap. Vitos makes some and there are many other bilit manifolds out there. If you want to run v-force reeds then there are also many manifolds that are specifically made for v-force, they have 4 short individual runners which look like cross hairs from the front view. Almost forgot, there are some rubber manifolds that look like stock but fit bigger carbs for a lot less $ than the bilit manifolds. I think Magic Racing sells them. Quote
FlatTrackinIt55 Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 i run pro-deighn as well. work good for me so far. Quote
64xracer Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 made my own out of a soild piece of T-6 aluiminum Quote
stclark816 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 boss racing got if from passionre nice piece, allows bigger carb to not hit the clutch arm also 333560 Yup, I got mine from Passion too. Quote
SDD Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 made my own out of a soild piece of T-6 aluiminum 337330 T-6 is a treatment level not the actual type of aluminum. 4043, 6061, 6063, 7075 are types of aluminum. Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 boss racing. 334155 Do 'Boss Racing' have a website? I can't seem to find them in my search engine if they do. Rare. Quote
jinx44 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I have a set of BOSS that I got from Passion. I also have some of the individual cast intakes from FTZ. I run a bottle on one set of the FTZ's and the other set hasn't been drilled out. Quote
prichard9966 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 the boss intake is a super sweet billet piece. it has no tubes, hoses, or bottles to leak or cause problems and makes for a clean install. for these reasons i prefer it to other designs. Quote
njbanshee Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 I just bought the intakes from boss racing. They don't have a boost bottle, should that give me more top end? If so, how much will it take off off the bottom end? Quote
Ducman Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 The boss intake has a crossover tube which surves basically the same purpose as the boost mottle. Boost bottle is more about throttle response, not HP output. Most say boost bottle making a difference in performance is a myth anyway. Quote
