Animalman294
Right now I have an '02 w/ Toomey T-5's, a K&N and the bike is jetted for this combo. I want to make my Shee run with bigger dogs, but don't want to have to run race gas. I don't have the money to put into it right now to run with the big dogs, but would be happy running against bigger ones. I run at about 800 feet down at the river, and then at about 4000 feet at Sand Mountain Nevada. I am putting a dial-a-jet on to help with making jetting a little easier with the change in elevation. I am thinking that I will put a Noss head on with 20 cc domes (or dlnoss can you enlighten me if I may need 21's), V-force reeds, and a adjustable timing plate and I want duneman to lighten my flywheel. I am trying to go faster and smooth out the power band a bit. Does this combo sound good for what I want to do (duning and trails) or would I be better off having the dune port? Thanks for the info.......... Edited February 28, 2005 by Animalman294
ledofthezep
As long as you keep your compression below 160lbs, you should be ok w/pump gas.
bansheekid409
advance your timming, shave your flywheel and get your head milled. get pipes, and an airfilter. with that stuff you can still run on 93 octane.
dlnoss
At 800' with the timing advance more than 2 to 4 degrees you're probably going to be pushing it a little bit with premium pump gas but at 4000' you would be fine even with 19cc domes. If you didn't mind mixing, say, 20% race gas with 80% pump when you are riding at 800'. I'd get the 20cc domes.
Capone
bump that, weld the crank and get a head and some 18cc, its worth the 7.50$ a gallon..

rockgc9
I only pay 3.50 for race fuel up here.
Ducman
If you want top end HP to run with the decent banshees up the drag hill at Sand Mtn then you need to get some port work. I had pipes (FMF), head (20cc domes), airbox lid off and I got smoked bad going up the drag hill, I also weigh 250 which doesn't help. I got smoked by stock YFZ's. Now with my built motor I don't get beat by YFZ's and very few ported stock stroke banshees. For the trails your going to like the head, timing and flywheel a lot though.
