plug9992
Hi! I'd like to know if I install a DYNA FS box on my shee, would you recommand to buy the "progammable kit " with software? The handlebar switch (to change the ignition curve) is an option too? If you guys, have a DYNA fs, could you tell me If it's possible to preset the max RPM or start rpm (for drag) with a conventionnal FS box? It's not clear on their website, please help! Thanks! superchicken
no you dont have to buy the programing kit.out of the box it has 4 preset curves you can flip through.the programing kit is only when you need a custom curve for nitrous or dragging.i have one on my stoker and you can tell a difference in the curves. BenBB
I run a Dyna FS, it's not programmable, has a DIP-switch box so you can select 4 different curves (and as superchicken said, I can tell the diff on them even on mine). I can't do any RPM presets on mine, but I don't know for sure how much different the newer Dynas are. BTW I just rewired my handlebar on/off switch to swap between two curves, what it does is use the curve selected at the switch box until a simple switch completes the circuit between 2 wires that go to the switch box, then it reverts to the "top end" curve. That's the one that works best with my setup but it is cool to be able to switch it over to a different one easily (I added a pushbutton kill switch to shut off the motor). Justintoxicated
When you say you can tell a difference what exactly is it? and also does this require that I set my timing back to 0 on my adjustable timing plate?
PUSH THE THROTTLE
When you say you can tell a difference what exactly is it? and also does this require that I set my timing back to 0 on my adjustable timing plate? 329258[/snapback] With mine I can tell a huge difference between the 3 dyna curves over the stock curve. You would have to set your timing plate back to zero. I'm not sure how a DYNA compares to a bike that already has timing advance, I'm sure the DYNA is better but I don't know how much. Definate improvement over stock though.
