Justintoxicated
Personally for sand tires I like to get the blue labels. Alot of people say they bend too easily but here's my reasoning: They're lighter weight which is very beneficial in sand. When it comes to bending, I'd rather bend a $30 wheel than a $200+ axle. I think it pays to have some kind of weak link in your system - preferably something cheap and easy to replace. That said I've had about 6' of air and have yet to bend a rim. My tire guy said that once you get up around 8' you'd need to swich to black labels. Another benefit of douglass wheels is that they make a wider rim (I think its 8") Give's you a little added stability for free. 330760[/snapback] my skate II's came on 8 inch wide and my Extreme haulers came on 9 inch wide. I run black lable myself, I bent my blue lable a bit on some smaller jumps when I landed on 1 wheel first. Your not going with the lightest tires in the world anyways so You could even run red lable if you wanted. You can bend an axel without bending a rim too, it depends how you land the jump. At least this is what I have been told. Also, tire pressure has alot to do with bending rims, when I bent mine I think my tire was a bit low on pressure. I don't want to bend anything when I go riding heh.

bansheeryder21
Sand Stars are great tires! That's what I use and they work nice! About 75% of people I see out at Gordon's are running the same paddles! The Sand SkateII's are nice but kind of pricy! I picked up mine for $139.00! Tire/wheel! I use a 10 in wheel. For the price, I think they are the way to go!
