I have heard this could be because the paddles are not aligned with each other correctly. Do yall think that is the problem or what? I dont know what I should do. 328856 THey are good but have less hook than the sandstars. I loved them before I got porting (12-port) but afterwards they didn't have enough hook...Better than having too much hook though... I'd say if you shee is ported or stroked etc get Sand Stars, if not then just run Skate II's... Just my opinion... Skate II's are very light for a molded tire... Rememebr we are dealing with rotating mass here not dead weight... If your more into drag racing then you will not be happy with either tire... THey are more for handeling and being able to dune and slide the rear end around... My new extremes make me want to pull in a straight line. Depends what your looking for. I do have a set of Skate II's for sale, they have about 5 years of riding on them but I can get pictures if your interested they held up really well and I would still be runnign them if it was enough paddle for my porting. Looking for $100...theya re on blue lable douglas. Anyways Post more detail about what exactly you are looking for in a tire, and how much HP your makin... Thanks Travis 328816 When the paddles are out of alignment they will cause the bike to shake quite a bit. Just spinning the tires at a low speed and low rpms will cause shaking. your paddles dont have to be perfectly aligned, but get them as close as possible. Is the shaking the reason you are looking for new paddles?

jonnyrebel2004
Anyways Post more detail about what exactly you are looking for in a tire, and how much HP your makin... 328875 I havnt got my ported motor back to know how much HP im making. I think am looking for a good dune tire. I dont do much drag racing, just race a few friends here and there. I just mainly want a tire that will hook up good and doesnt shake the piss out of me wen I take off. Some one said that the sand stars dont hook up well on a Banshee. What do you think? I also noticed with my taller haulers it was hard to turn, so I think I am looking for a v-blade design paddle. So based on that what would you say would be best? Even on a stock see I'm sure they are fine, but Skate II's might be better ona stock shee with jsut pipes. if you have mods beyond that go with the sand stars! Skate II's being less agressive (probably slide a bit easier and are also lighter than teh sand stars by quite a bit (I think it was aorund 2 lbs each) but if yo have too much HP you will get alot of wheel spin with Skate II's just so yo know ITP C-series rims are 2 lbs heavier each than blue lable douglas, so that like adding ~40 lbs dead weight to your bike just for getting them over blue lable! Gotta rememebr Rotating Mass kills Torque or is it HP.... However Blue Lable are kinda thin, so I went with black lable still 1.5 lbs lighter than C-series. I believe the red lables are still also still lighter than C-series.... Polished C-series ITP's sure look cool though! Taller Haulers kinda suck form what I hear, they are too much hookup and wear out very fast because the paddles are thinner than the extreme haulers and also longer. yes they will make it harder to turn also. This 2 reasons definately pushed me to get extremes over taller haulers. and the extremes still have PLENTY of bite. I was suprised how well the Sand Stars hooked up on Dunedeamons banshee last time we were out, for a V-blade I don't think you can much more hookup with the same performance. jonnyrebel2004
OK this might be a stupid quesion but I am confused. It says it includes 2 tires and wheels, is that 2 backs or 2 fronts? Justintoxicated would you PLEASE PLEASE go to this web site and tell me which rims and tire sizes I should get for the front and the back? http://www.magicracing.com/product.asp?itemid=1201&catid=111 Thanks A Million, Travis Edited February 26, 2005 by jonnyrebel2004
Wallrat
I've got stars all around on mine. Hook up pretty damn good for straight line and dune very nicely. I'm running 20" tires on 10" rims in the rear and 22" tires on 10" rims up front.

Your choice of rims is up to you 159 on .125 douglas 164 on .160 black lable 251.99 on C-series (which I don't recomend due to added weight) but they sure do look cool if you get the polished C-series (and additional $16) Also if you order from rocky mountin yu can get chrome valve stems and chrome Buts added for a couple extra $... jonnyrebel2004
I dont really know much about rims and tires. Which rims do you think would be best? blue label .125, red label .190, black label .160, ITP T-9 Pro Series? What width would be best for the front and the back? I am going to to with the sand stars. Thanks Travis
Wallrat
Personally for sand tires I like to get the blue labels. Alot of people say they bend too easily but here's my reasoning: They're lighter weight which is very beneficial in sand. When it comes to bending, I'd rather bend a $30 wheel than a $200+ axle. I think it pays to have some kind of weak link in your system - preferably something cheap and easy to replace. That said I've had about 6' of air and have yet to bend a rim. My tire guy said that once you get up around 8' you'd need to swich to black labels. Another benefit of douglass wheels is that they make a wider rim (I think its 8") Give's you a little added stability for free.
