Skyy
Ive took my reeds out today and to my surprise my intakes were all black . Now its all chipping out. Ive tryed to scrape it out but some parts are really stuck there, witch would make me think that it would be paint peeling of. I was wondering if banshee comes stock like that so gas flows better? or if the previous owner was stupid enough to paint it. I have pics of it if yall want to see, but have no idea how to post it. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

i12gofast
I think its carbon buildup, i found it on the top of my cylinder as well. Clean it out best you can, but a little left wont hurt anything, hasnt hurt mine yet neways....

Justintoxicated
yup, after I had them ported I stopped finding black paint chips in my coolant! I don't think all of them come this way though...
BdBanshee
I just did a top end job on the wifes Banshee, and the intake was painted black inside. It was starting to flake too, so I sandblasted them before I got the cylinders bored.
