Stroker81
Does anyone know where i can get my rm250 bigbored? Or know where i can get it sleeved back to stock? Whatever would be cheapest. If you could give me some names of companys that work on bikes. Thanks
FoxBansheeRacing
Are you sure it has been or needs to be bored? The cylinder wall is made out of a very hard metal similiar to chrome. Mine blew up and the entire intake side piston skirt broke off inside the motor, and the cylinder didnt need to be bored. This was my fathers bike so I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the machine shop said if the cylinder wall was trashed you would have to get a new cylinder because they cant bore the metal. CombatTalon2
you are right, you can not bore the cylinders on later rm250s, they have a nikasil coating. basically you have 2 options. new cylinder, or new sleeve. the sleeve cost about 115.00 from the stealership, and then you have to find a shop to actually put it in your cylinder! Stroker81
I should of said resleeved instead of bored. It has been sleeved bigger than stock beause stock piston is 64.5mm and the piston that is in it now is a 69mm. I just want it so i can ride it. Can they a stock sleeve back in? Could they just put a new 265 sleeve in? I am not very good at this shit sorry if i sound dum. thanks
