Thanks 326583 need to know what carbs these are and what jetting is in them right now. on the side of the carb it should say something like, 33pwk, 34pj, 35pwk or somethinkg along those lines. find out which carbs they are. also pull off the carbs and see what main and pilot is in there. sounds like its kinda rich on the pilot from what you are saying but itd be best to know for sure what jets are there..find out and let us know. islandsurfer
Tha carb doesn't say the size but here is what I got: 70PA3 below the PWK, the top opeing is 1.5 inches the part that attaches to the intake is 1.5 inches and the part that attaches to the air filter is 2 inches... I also noticed a stage ebgraved on the intakes... The jet size I will get later.. Thanks
locogato11283
thats the inside of the carb where you took the measurement? if i know the inside i can pretty much figure out what size carb it is. its either a 30, 33 or 35mm pwk im sure. lemme know the jet sizes and we will get you figured out. islandsurfer
here are the numbers... 78 pilot:65 main:165 Edited February 26, 2005 by islandsurfer
Fireman-hott
here are the numbers... 78 pilot:65 main:165 330128 65 is rich as hell for the pilot. I run a 404 big bore 19cc coolhead(which doesn't affect jetting), rockets, vforce delta 2's, mild port, the trinity single carb setup with a 35mm pwk and my pilots a 52 starts first kick with the choke and idles almost immediatly with the choke off. You should be down around a 45.
islandsurfer
I bought it used... i figured it was high, when I saw the number.... I don't know to much about the Shee.... All I know is what I see... I was told there was engine work, but don't know what kind... So if I goto a 45 for the main it won't run so rich and will idle?? It spit globs of oil out the back and the plug was wet and black... Thanks, also where can I get a pilot jet?? does come in sets or can i get it seperate?? Fireman-hott
take the pilot out than try the local yamaha dealer you can get them for around $3. they can also be bought in sets. A wet plug is an indicator of a rich condition or a fouled plug, one, the other or both. Pop in the new pilot and some new plugs then let us know where you are at.
