Depending on the size of domes will tell you what kind of gas you need to run. You may be able to do a compression check to see if you can run pump gas or a mix of pump and race fuel. Sounds like you have a good bike, post some pics when you get a chance.

Yep,Get a gauge kick until it wont go up anymore prolly like 5 or 6 licks and make sure it holds....over 150LBS will require allternative fuel...

Example: Im @ 600ft above sea level, 20cc domes and 175LBS of compression/mild port/+ head shaved a thou..

Run low fuel U will hear a pinging sound which denotes low octane, which will eventually jack ur shiznit...

I run 104 /KLOTZ R-50 synethic smells Sweet!

Later

I'm no expert on this but i believe you shouldn't always believe a guage after porting.  I'm sure someone else can chime on this.

U r correct...I was just referring to what I have done..I believe a good compression test will tell extactly whatcha need to know

once you port your jugs youll loose static compression but you can make up for that with a head mod and youll get the most of your motor work that way too ,you can and should check your compression after a port ,its just going to be a lower number ,ported motors require a lower compression before race gas is needed .someone chime in and correct me if im wrong

from the sounds of things, its got a stock head on it. If not, pull the head off and look at the domes. THat or run a compression test. Not real sure on what numbers you have to have, but i'm pretty sure i saw them on the noss machine website. If you don't have high compression, you don't need avgas. I don't know that i'd run it in anything i have though. If it needs avgas, i'd switch over to a race gas/pump gas mix or straight race gas.
