DuneRoller
I did a seach and came up blank. I just bought a GPS to use when in the dunes and I am looking at handlebar mounts. Found a couple I like, just want to know what everyone else uses... FYI... It needs to work with a Garmin eTrex Legend.

Works great and no complaints so far. I hit 76 on soft sand yesterday so it's pretty cool to see how fast you are going and where you have been. DUNEDEMON
I have a Garmin Rhino 110, use an IMS bar mount. IMS has bar mounts for the E-trex too. http://www.imsproducts.com

SANDSTAR
I have the IMS bar mount. I think it is actually made for a mountain bike, but mine fits great. I'm running an e-trex, which I think is the same size as the legend.
Justintoxicated
any ideas what to use for the Megellan Pocket GPS?
Wallrat
Something else to consider is that some mounts don't isolate the vibrations well enough and the gps will keep shutting off. I've got the Legend as well and use the handlebar mount made for it. Can't beat it! It also adds another degree of waterproof protection since the battery compartment on a standard legend isn't waterproof. The garmin mount replaces the batt cover with a different one that has an O-ring. The only time I've had it turn off on me was when I tried mounting it to the front bumper on the yfz. But on handlebars its never given me an issue, even while riding hard and hitting some small jumps.
2stroker
I use a handlebar mount for my Garmin GPSIII made by a company called RAM. Never had issues with vibration causing it shut off. The RAM system is useful in that if you use your GPS for other toys (boat, other quad, etc.), you can easily transfer your GPS from one to the other. You do have to buy other accessories though. If you dont need to have your GPS is constant view, just put it in your Camelback or backpack. Depending on what model GPS you have, reception shouldn't be a problem. I never had a problem leaving it in there. It is somewhat of a hassle to stop if you want to check the screen.

Dr. Overkill
Something else to consider is that some mounts don't isolate the vibrations well enough and the gps will keep shutting off. I've got the Legend as well and use the handlebar mount made for it. Can't beat it! I had a Garmin GPS II+ for a few years, with their handlebar mount: http://members.cox.net/dr.overkill/banshee5.JPG I had to get the middle of my Ricky Stator handlebar clamp machined out to fit it: http://members.cox.net/dr.overkill/banshee4.JPG And then I also had to shave some material off the bottom side of the clamp because it was too thick to fit under the bar. But it was great having it mounted there because it was protected by the crossbar--no worries in a rollover. But I *did* have vibration problems. The batteries would wear little rings in each other and lose continuity. I solved that by using the 12v car lighter adapter and hard wiring it to the 12v battery I had on the bike. I kept the lighter adapter plug so I could still use the GPS in the car (though I never did). _dennis

trickedcarbine
I have a life proof case on my Iphone and I mounted one of their clip on belt holsters to my handle bars with two zip ties. My phone just clips in for GPS on the trails and Siri works through the head set. Pretty good way to communicate while riding to. Last season I used it for a lap timer app and a speedo app. Of couse it's not as accurate as a Lowrance, but it's Not shabby. Helped really dial shit in. I'll find pix.
