KGL
As spring draws near I will have approx. $2,000 to spend on a 4 peeler. I will be riding trails/woods/small mx track mostly , and I will be riding with two DS 650's and a Raptor. Basically for the money I figure I can get a 400ex and spend the money to try and be able to keep up with the guys or get a Shee and make it more trail friendly but be able to whoop somebody. I would like your guys input on which would be a better choice... and certainly any other options that may be out there but im looking at "bang for the buck" here. Gargamel
Go for the shee They are good woods machines in my opition.
BigRed350x
I'm selling my 88 in the for sale section. With the money left over you could make it a pretty mean toy. Definitely able to stomp a DS and a Raptor.
FadedDreams
If your looking to go for long trail rides, the shee might not be the best choice.Sure you can buy the big tank, but it still doesn't beat being able to pull in the gas station and filling it up.Speed wise,i doubt the 400ex will beat either of those in stock form, but you'll have better handling.I wouldn't trade my shee for anything, but i would like to have a 4-stroke for trail rides. sp1tekiller
Get the shee, you can learn to ride it and do fine in the woods. I wouldn't want to be seen riding an EX.
kw04
go with the shee you can do just about anything you want with them.
ledofthezep
Well, I have both a 400ex & a banshee. The 400ex is a great, dependable bike and I have no complaints. With some minor mods they can run pretty good. But I don't know what to tell you...if you can, ride both & see what you think you'd like better. For some reason though, for the most part, the EX sits in the garage when I go riding, and is primarily a take-me-to-the-shitter-mobile for me when I'm at the dunes. My girlfriend likes it more than I do, and that's who I got it for anyway.
bansheeboy619
I will always go with the shee, but I only ride in the sand. I like the LT-Z400 better than the 400ex.you might want to look at one of them to. With light mods the z400 runs great for the type of riding your looking to do. sp1tekiller
Yes, the Z400 is better than the EX for sure. If both of them have mod's though it can be a close battle.
Brian060
since youll be riding with raptors and whatever i'de get the shee. I went from four stroke quads and dirtbikes (lt230 quadsport and CRF250R ) to the shee and its not bad at all in the trails. For my first ride i had to keep remeinding myself not to shift when the revs got up, but it was the most fun i've had on 4 wheels
KGL
Well since Led called the 400ex a girlbike , I guess Im getting a Shee! Actually Ive mostly had 2 stroke bikes and although the Raptor and DS were easy to ride they dont have the ground rippin zing of the two strokes and I think I would miss that too much. I 'll find me a Shee this spring and just borrow my buddies 300ex for extended trail rides....and to race Led to the shitter! All my buds quads are new and nothing will piss em off more than to be beaten by a used two stroke. ahhhh, life will be good Thanks for all of your input guys.
