cdcoxwell
Hey guys, I removed the tors system a while back and thought that it idled fine. Didn't ride her for a couple of months. It will not idle now and I have cleaned my carbs twice to make sure the jets were clean. Still will not idle. I was told the other day by a yamaha guy that once the tors system has been removed that it couldn't idle and that I needed to perform some mods to the carbs(drill and put in an idle screw or something like that). Any help will be great because I'm tired of kicking the hell out of my shee when I ride in the woods. Thx, Cary
dlnoss
Yea, you can get a kit that replaces the carb tops and has idle screws that you can install. You will have to drill and tap the sides of the carbs which sounds scary but it's really pretty easy.
wesw
it should idle with the tors removed. but like dlnoss said get the removal kit, less headache
