Wassup350
I've got 3 friends who i ride with, 1 has a YFZ, 1 has a 450R, and the other has a Predator. I think the Preddy is better then the 450R, and the YFZ is better then both. The 450R's biggest downfall is kick start. And its geared so damn high that it stalls real easy in tight woods conditions making it a pain in the ass!!!. Yam all the way
sp1tekiller
Ride true, ride blue. Seriously, the YFZ is the better bike. Quicker, handles better and has the e-start.

joshdagreat56
I found a YFZ for sale about 11 hours from here for $4500. If I can get financing I think I may get it. It's a dealership selling it and he said they let a guy use it for a month for racing, but everything is in great shape. I was actually calling about another bike, but he said it was sold then he mentioned this one. What do you guys think? 320879 Hey KRMit if you aren t goin g to get that yfz for 4500 would you tell me the number and location thanks bro

I was just basing the carb on what someone told me. He's a die-hard Honda fan though.
banshee boy 98
good luck with the yfz starting. the battery, and chargings system in the stinks. my brother in law has a 05 yfz and 1/2 the time it wont start. the dealer told him he will need a battery tender for it. that is bs, you pay 6grnd for a new quad so that you dont have trouble. the kick starter on the honda works great. have you every heard anybody complain about the trx250r kick starter. NO. dont get me wrong the yfz has tons of power even in stock form. it likes to rev just like a banshee.

superchicken
I may have another option. I might be able to get a Cannondale Blaze with extras including a steering stabilizer, beadlocks, Ohlins shocks, HMF pipe, steering stem for $3500. The motor is blown but the price includes a crate motor. 321885 my brother and i just drove down to wv. to pick up a cannible.i tell ya that thing ripps.torquey sob it is.but it revs like my shee.the guy who owned it changed the mapping around with a pipe and what not.cant wait to drag him to see who's the big cock in the henhouse
KRMit
I bought the Cannondale, but can't ride it. I went through all the trouble of swapping motors in it and the rebuilt motor won't turn over. To make a long story short I'm going to bring it to a friend's shop and we're going to tear into the motor. I tell ya... getting a motor in and out of those bad boys ain't an easy task! Anyway, I rode a friend of mine's Blaze Saturday and loved it. It's way torquer (is that a word?) than a 450r or YFZ in my opinion.
locogato11283
arent the cannondales hard to get parts for? i rode a cannondale one time and was pretty unimpressed by it. i didnt like the feel or the power of it. i raced a cannondale 440 with my predator several times and i walked all over it. yea i know i had like 60 more cc's than it but i weighed alot more and it wasnt even a race. A local shop here used to be a Cannondale dealer so I'm sure he knows how to get the parts. He still owns one. Mine still isn't running (idiot who put the motor together had the timing off and I bent some valves), but I rode one setup like it last weekend. There's no comparison on bottom end power. You don't have to rev up as much as on a YFZ or R, but this thing will rev out to over 11k RPMs. All that low end power may come at a sacrifice for top speed, but I'm not real concerned about that. I have a Banshee for 70+mph riding. The Cannon is more for woods and tracks.
