bansheeryder21
My buddy just got back from Glamis and the people he went with rode with their paddles on backwards and told him to try riding with his paddles on backwards!!! So he did and said that his banshee performed better than it ever has before! He usually can only hit 3rd gear up hills and was hitting 4th and sometimes 5th! He said the bike performs way better all around with paddles on backwards. Has anybody ever tried this before??? OOPS!!! MISPELLED PADDLES! eehsnab2
he was probably able to get into a higher gear due to more wheel spin...
kenr74
Lots of people do that if they have too much paddle for the conditions. When the sand is nice and soft it is a lot easier to spin a paddle than this time of year. Of course I doubt the sand gets hard down in Glamis. DUNEDEMON
Just out of pure curiosity, what brand tire is it that you like to run backwards?
bansheeboy619
Sand stars...I know I sound like a dumb ass . I thought the same thing.
Wallrat
Try dropping down your gearing and putting your tires on right to get the same effect. What mods do you have and what gearing are you running now?
ledofthezep
Perhaps Gecko's would perform better that way...but I dunno. Personally, I think your buddy's full of shit.

Justintoxicated
I was thinking about doing that. riding with them on backwards was just something I tried.I have to say the nice thing about it was that I wasn't pitching buckets of sand in the buddy's face riding behind me while riding in the bowls my friends were alot happer about that. but yes I agree dropping down my gearing with them on the right way would be a better way to go .As for the mods on my shee I just have T-5's, jetted, and K&N opened box as for my gearing it all stock. I was thinking of putting a 13 up frount I'v heard that will be harder on my chain. Bansheeryder21 has done this and after pres. weekend I will see how he like it.THANK YOU for your input... 321468[/snapback] all that means is that you have too much Paddle for your Power/Gearng Ratio. Dropping to a 13 tooth would probably be a wise decision. I rode like that for years. if your chain wears out, replace it. but it should not have any adverse affects. Maybe try running a 13 tooth with Skate II's which is a less agressive setup. hell I'm running a 14 tooth on my ported Banshee!
bansheeryder21
I am going to Gordon's this weekend and I will try riding with my paddles on backwards once and see how it is! We will find out if bansheeboy619 is full of shit or not!!! You all do the same!!!

I'm running 22x11x8 skat traks, they were bogging me down a little due to the size in the sand. I put a 13 tooth on the front, and damn i hook up good now! I think the cpi's had a bit to do with it to
