bansheeryder21
Do any of you put any kind of adhesive on your air filter adapter for a tight seal? I don't want mine to get any sand in the carbs! Is it okay without anything or do you recommend putting something on there???
dlnoss
Clean both surfaces and put plenty of RTV Silicone sealer on before bolting the flange on. Wipe the access off. Seals good, resists vibration.

That o ring doesnt do much, when the air box has a slight curve to it. plus tighting the screws only makes it worse..

dlnoss
The oring seals are nice but when sealing against flexible plastic I would always use RTV. I put orings on all of my airbox flanges but recommend sealing them with RTV also to be safe.
