Hey guys! I am going to be building a Sand Rail like the one pictured. Right now I am gathering parts for it. I am looking into getting a complete 600+cc Crotch Rocket engine for it. I want atleast 120hp I just wanted to knwo if you know of any good places to buy one other than e-bay. I am also located in Rochester NY.

Guys, I really think a 600 would be fine......  Anything over 160hp would be overkill, It would just abuse everything else on the sand rail.  I am sure a busa engine would be fun though.

i would do with a 2.2 turbo motor.150-200hp stock.couple hundred more you can easily make 250-300.vey strong and reliable.we got some guys laying down 500whp on stock blocks,not bad for a 4cyl that like a ls1 making well over 1000hp going by hp/pr cubic inch

I use to have a sandrail. It had a Volkswagon 1600 dual port, with dual Delorto carbs. It would flat fly. They don't weigh anything. The steerring brakes was the most fun.
