trialsallday
which one should i get for recreational use any draw backs to the 4+1?
bansheefreak
i think 4+1 is like a stock wheel they recommend them if you have wide arms... so if you trail ride i think the 4+1 would be good chioce...
wantinashee
if i remember right the stock wheel ofset on a banshee is 3:2, and i think hyper only makes that offset for the yamaha bolt pattern.
sredish
Stock offset is 3-2. A 4-1 is good if your wanting to narrow the machine a bit. For instance, I'm running +2 arms in XC/ Woods and use the 4-1 when I need a narrower track and my 2-3's when it's opened up. On a side note - I don't believe Hiper is currently making a front wheel in a 4-1 offset with a Yamaha pattern. This was recently discussed on another forum, Quadzone.com, that is moslty a quad racing site. Later.

checkster
wouldnt it be easier if they just used "backspacing" like on car wheels? so if stock is 3-2 that means what? is it 3" on the back and 2" on the front? or the other way around? check

If your +2 a-arms , then I'd consider getting another brand and getting a 4-1 offset. The 4-1 will handle a tad better, it won't be too wide for the trails and will help out a lot with bumpsteer. The reason is, it puts the centerline of the wheel directly over the ball joints so the bump is transferred straight above the spindle, where as a more offset wheel its transferred outside of the spindle and tries to kick the tire more. Post some pics when you get em. Scott
