sredish Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 I went from Razr rears to the I-Razr rears and I can say, I've found my new tire. I bought these tires a few months ago, before I ever found this site. I was looking for something new at the time and stumbled upon these. As Rico said, I've never ran a set of tires with as much bite as these do. With the power that the banshee can put out, it's hard to find a tire that doesn't excessively spin. Keeping the front end down on starts is more difficult and I experience the pushing in the corners much more frequently, but as said, that can be dealt with using more weight positioning. The beauty of these tires is how, when they hook up so unbelievably well, they still are extremely predictable in the corners and slide at will, but not excessively, and allow you to power out of a corner much stronger. They hook up much better than my standard Razrs in loose soil. The Razrs tend to spin excessively in looser soil, with my quad anyway and these tires shine more as the ground gets looser. I raced in a local TX XC race a few weeks back that would've been better suited as a mudfest. The tires performed admirably. They never lost bite and forward motion over muddy stumps, roots and ruts that would've been more difficult on my previous tires. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this tire. As I said, I've found my new tire. I don't have the money to keep a lot of different sets mounted up and ready to go, so I need a tire that's not going to let me down and handle all situations. Testing by Lazarus and Brandon Sommers of GT Thunder Rear Irazr - I have tested them in muddy conditions, dry, wet hard pack, MX, wet grass, dry grass, rough woods, rocks and many other conditions. I have ridden and raced them both new and worn out now. When they are new (4 hours or less): They have the best forward bite of any tire I have ever ridden. They have good side bite when accelerating in a corner but not as controllable as a regular Razr in aggressive cornering, but still better then the Razr2. They hook up so well that you will have problems with the front end pushing in the corners until you learn to put your body weight further forward on the bike to turn. When they are worn out: They have better forward bite then either the Razr or Razr2 in most conditions. They have poor side bite in wet hard pack. In all conditions: They have a better quality ride & and allow us to run Nitrogen in the tires in addition to the tire balls without getting as ridged as a bias ply tire. Overall opinion - while we may not run them at every race - your will not find us at a GNCC with out a set ready to run. They are a step forward in tire technology for ATV racing and riding. Quote

We'll see how they wear. I got them from RockyMountainATV.com and you can find them on your website. do they do these in a 18" rear?? Quote
