Fireman-hott
Hey guys I'm about to ditch the stock chain in the next week or two as it is pretty beat up. Anyway does anyone know off hand how many links I should get my next chain for. I switch between the 13 tooth and 15 tooth fronts depending on the time of year and what I'm out to ride. Holyman
What kind of chain are you gonna go with?
stu
I bought a stock length chain and then just matched it up with my old one and cut it down to size. we didnt have a chain breaker so the angle grinder came out to play stu
locogato11283
what i do is run 2 master links. you could prolly get a chain to work between 13 and 15 tooth with one master link but ive found it much easier to just run 2 master links and then use a filler piece to make up the difference. like i have just on link, then 2, and 3 and so on. that way if im at a hillclimb and wanna change gearing and my chain doesnt have that much adjustment i just slap in a new filler piece. txblueshee
I bellieve I took 5-6 links off the 104 link chain with 15/41 gearing. Mike
