We need more info. What mods do you have? What elevation do you ride at? Etc.. Why did you start another thread??? You just asked that question and got many responses.

Sorry for starting another thread its just it has 5 replys so I didnt know if anyone else was gonna even bother looking. I live on NH MA border bout 30 min. from ocean, and my mods are FMF SST's on Power Core2's, Pro Design K&N filter, Pro Design COOL HEAD with 21 cc comes, V-Force reeds, WB boost bottle, MSD and I think it has Pro X pistons, not sure bore or compression the guy I got it from had his buddy that owns a shop cut him a deal and he build it. I think there stock bore and compression. But if I go from a 260 to a 290 I don't have to move the needle? I'm going to do the 280 in about a hour it just doesnt seem right cause the needle hole is bigger why wouldnt you have to move it? I've jetted 4 strokes a few times but never a two..... and dual cylinder.... this is fun lol. Thx- Bob

If you have pipes and a filter, me personally, I would move the clip to the 3rd notch and throw in a 280. thats what I am running. And next try to be a little more patient, people will respond here, I mean.... its bansheehq! what more could you ask for! Just give it a little time you will get many responses from the people here a lot of them have great knowledge on this stuff.

Agreed 100% You gotta realize that you're not gonna get 20 responses in an hour, doesn't matter who you are...lol, that is unless you post nice pics of boobies for all to see  Also, I've learned that it's better to stick to one topic for similar questions because it gives the people reading it a better idea of what's already been done...more or less a starting point to troubleshoot your problems.

But, back to the topic, I would change your jets first and then ride it, see if you like what you feel. If you notice a bog or hesitation in the mid range, then start adjusting your needle. If you change your jets and needle clip at the same time and don't get the desired result, you really won't know what it was that made it run the way it does. It's better to make one jetting change at a time, that way you know exactly what's doing what......make sense?

Took out the 290's put in the 280's wouldnt start, check my plugs they were fouled from the 290's, cleaned em (spark plug cleaner), started 5 'th kick idled good by it self, revved it a few times, then let it idle for about 45 seconds and it just died..... I been trying to start it since. Should I only go up to a 270 from a 260? the 260 was put in in the summer when it was like 85 and like i said it 0- 30 lately, 20 today. Seems kinda weird I'd only have to go up one size. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks -Bob

Today, (next day) I went out did NOT change the jetting from previousday or plugs ...... started second kick? maybe first I cant remember then it ran for about 45 sec and just died and wouldnt start. I wanna check my float adjustment, what should it be? I dont have a book? and Could it be the pilot jets or fuel air mixture screws? What kills me is with the 260's in it from the summer even when its 30 it would start up and run and never stall it was just lean. and I didnt touch the fuel air mixture screws but I did hit the float once gently. Thx -Bob

I've already posted in another thread. Make sure you disconnected the 3-wire plug above the left exhaust from the little black box, then disconnect the parking brake switch on the handlebars....follow the wire towards the gas tank and disconnect it at the connection...I'd start there first. Your mains won't affect idle to 1/2 throttle...wouldn' t hurt to raise the needles and try that though. Might have some hidden performance there for you.l.. :o

hey bachetta, what is the reason for disconnecting those wires? my cousin has an 04 stock with T6's.

The tors system is to prevent a sticking throttle, but it fails easily and will mess w/ your timing or ignition..Sometimes it'll make it like a rev limiter where the powerband won't even kick in and other times, it'll cut the spark out completely, so sometimes someone will think its jetting, but could be the tors system..If you disconnect some of the wires but not the "brain" black box, then it'll still mess w/ the spark...
