450R VS YFZ450

Well, I had my wife and myself on the YFZ up to the top of 5th gear on the beach sand at Horse Falls OR, probably just under 400lbs between the 2 of us, mostly my fat ass. The YFZ is a bit lower geared in the top end than the banshee and the Honda, but If you were on flat hard ground I'm sure you could pull 80+ easy if you were geared for it.

Im pretty sure i heard that top speeds for both of them stock was just below 70...they weren't supposed to be as fast as they were quick. I know a stock raptor has them in top speed by a little bit and i assume the banshee is the same way. Maybe Dirtwheels has a magic radar gun....or maybe they're just eyeballin the speed :shrugani:

If you read the article it says they were being prepped for baja style racing and they were both piped and the honda had a little motor work. They were using gps for the mph readout. They probly tuned them on the dyno too that always helps. I still agree though those mph were still a little higher than you would expect.
