Cotton eyed Joe
Jason; I dont know how you do it.... to me thats just NOT right! Its just wrong! Wrong I tell ya! hehe I dont know how you do it working outside in this. 309201[/snapback] My neighbor up at the shop is a tree trimmer. I don't know how the fuck he does it. Last winter it snowed like 18 inches in 2 days, and he was out cutting down limbs that had fallen down on powerlines n shit. I did actually ask him once how he takes working in that weather and all he said was "Just gotta dress for it." WTF? ITS LIKE 5 DEGREES OUT WITH AN EAST WIND BLOWING IN AT AROUND 20 MPH! I wish everything I had was the exact same as it is, except 200 miles south. That would be perfect.
Lee
Nice weather would be nice, but I wouldn't have been able to ski like I have been. When the east brings you snow, get the skis or board out! Anyone else in the east here like to ski or board? -L

I went snowboarding last Saturday no more than 2 hours from my place. It was in the 80's here and 40's up on the mountain. This weekend is forcasted to have sand flying in the air in the form of roost off my paddles at Glamis. It was nice to get up in the mountains to play in the white stuff for a few hours. It was even nicer to be home sitting outside in a t-shirt and shorts.
JTQuad
We sand boarded at glamis last year BLM ticketed us for 2 up riding lol if you try it dont tow your friends, just find a steep dune lol - JT
RNBRAD
Well I guess we will all be heading to Glamis then. We'll change the weather to 80 degree's and no visibility. Maybe we could all line up our quads at once and roost the dunes further east.

Seriously. I don't think there is a spot in utah that gets that cold with wind chill taken into account. That reminds me. I saw an episode of Ship Mates last year some time where the couple dating got sent to Nova Scotia. I guess the woman had been yammering on and insulting the guy for the whole show, and when they stepped onto the pier of some city they stopped in, he turned around to face her, and pushed her and the 4 bags of crap she was holding into the bay. That water had to be like 35 degrees.

Unlike a lot of people that work inside, outside people adapt as the year goes on...We wear 1 sweatshirt at 50-60 degrees out, then 2 at 40 degrees out, 3 at 30, so on....the first day you don't wear enough will be the last day...every morning after, you'll learn to bring more than you need. You can always take cloths off....layers is the key...just remember, we adapt in a 3-4 month period as the weather changes, not like others that are only outside for a few minutes... And yes, they do make flannel-lined jeans, they work better than wool pants. Long johns and FL jeans and I can work into the negatives w/ o my legs getting cold...they work awesome..
