bigtreads
OK planning the yearly Oregon dune trip here . This year we've decided to try camping at Winchester bay . So im looking for advise on the best place to go. So far we are leaning twards Discovery Point campground. I'dd like someones oppinion on the nicest 2-3 side by side spots there able to handle a 30' toyhauler and crewcab so we can book them. Of coarse any advise is welcome. eehsnab2
Pretty much any spot at the campground is good. The back part might be best for multiple trialers/RV's. Access to the dunes is about the same for all the camp spots there. When are you planning on being up here? bigtreads
we usually go in the spring but my wife tore all the tendons off her shoulder going over the bars into some rocks so we're going in the fall so shee can heal. We're shooting for sept 30th to Oct.10th. this will be our 7th trip to the dunes - I look forward to it all year so I want to make sure it's the best week possible. Thanks for the reply
Ducman
Discovery point is by far my favorite camp ground to ride out of because it is right on the doons so you dont have to ride your quad down the path along side the road for 1/2 mi.. They have fairly long pull through spots with full hookups. My dads 34'-36' motorhome with a 14' utility trailer easily fit in the spot. It is also pretty close to the peer so you can go crabbing too.
