changing to a single carb setup and lightenning your flywheel will both result in better throttle response.  Right now I think only Trinity Racing makes a single carb system.  Boonman on here can lighten your flywheel.

V-force Reeds are great for throttle response, With single carb you lose top-end.

 

I also eliminated the crossover tube, I hear if yoru carbs are synced it can add some response in doing so, but I have not been able to tell any difference

Mine actually does better on fuel I think, but it shouldn't really use more, it will just use it more efficiently. I have the single carb and flywheel mod and I have incredilble response.
