Holyman
I'm getting a direct mount {no link} swingarm but I I don't want to spend $700 on a shock. Has anyone ever tried a sled shock or a car air shock on a banshee? probably handle pretty good with airbag suspension
bansheefreak
when i had my banshee i would put a r1 shoc in the back for my once a yr flat track race worked awesome... cus it lowers it plus i have suspension... unlike most guys just use a tie down strap and pull it down solid.... here is a pic... this is prolly not what your looking for but just showing you can use other shocs... frocashmoney24
use a airride suspension, jsut gotta throw on a pump, tank, airbag, switch..they you have a fully adjustable air bag with your ass over it....but seriously, that r1 shock aint to bad of a idea
Holyman
How long is the R1 shock and how stiff was the ride? How much was it? Are they different for various years?
SICK BOY
You can pick up a R1 shock on Ebay for pretty cheap.
Holyman
I see that. WOW... be great if that will work. But anyone got dimensions?
Cotton eyed Joe
For my project bike I was thinking either 2 Marvin Shaw Competition shocks, or running 2 street bike shocks like the other mentioned.
bansheefreak
i'm not sure of dimensions but it fit right in there you have to grind a lil of the shoc bushing but fits right in there.. i know my banshee sit bout 3 inches lower...on my shoc i used my caps on the bushing then just put them back when i took it off.. as for ride will its not air ride but it works for what i wanted it to do.. it lowered my bike plus gave me a lil bit of suspension unlike some guys solid stuff...
