Wallrat
I've got a shee and I bought my wife a yfz. I hate to admit it but the yfz is faster. She's not the best rider yet so she can't hang head to head but when I race my buddies I either keep up better or pull away more when I'm on the yfz. Few more days and I won't be saying that anymore...hehehe.
05bansh
I have holshot tires, 22x11x10 on stock sprockets is this ok? I didnt have trouble taking him off the line but he passed me quick. I dont think my bike is tuned right. It has great throttle responce but gets a little weak in fourth and up. 306476[/snapback] I'm running Skatrak 22x11x8 Haulers with stock gearing. I am getting ready to drop 1 tooth in the front sprocket. I heard that doing that will bring it closer to factory gearing.
Banchetta
You definately have a problem..The 450's run stronger on the bottom, but lack on top. If your taking him off the line, then the rider on the 450 can't launch very well...which gives you the advantage...Your top end is weak which could be caused by jetting or maybe your clutch is gone. Or maybe both. You should also check your compression w/ a compression guage, cost $20-50...Your gearing should be fine w/ those size tires. I'd also cut the end of the air box lid right behind the clips so you still have all 4 clips or remove it totally and rejet...The 450's are hard as hell to take on the launch, if you can get that, then you can get the rest. Find your problem.
H250RHATER
i run 18" by 8" turf tamers there not to bad on spinin anyway i was on the track and a 450 comes up and was like wanna race so i said ya i put it in second took off he was right there w/me i shifted to third he was there for the bottom of third but as soon as it hit mid range i was gone he came back after that lap and was like i bet u can't take me again so i said ill even give u a head start i wound up laping him. i'll say those 450's are quite the quick bike and that guy only had a gytr pipe on it but to put it lightly as soon as u hit mid to top end u should destroy him
endofitall9
as far as racing him on the dirt and your tires slipping just slip your clutch and your tires wont spin that much. I race mx now and then and get hints from my buddies put them to use and they work. and I can officially say I have never been beatin by a
